Carrot bouquet

I have a wonderful blogging friend, Joyce of scrapforjoy, who collects carrots. Joyce has been having some health problems, so I made her this carrot bouquet from this tutorial by Clare at clarescraftroom.  Please send Joyce some good thoughts for a successful surgery and healing.

Spring!

The calendar may say spring, but we had snow and cold wind ~ a cruel April Fool's joke.  I made this tag for a friend's birthday to go with a pot of pansies.

Busy times

I've been busy crafting, making cards and birthday presents.  Here is the banner I made for my granddaughter's birthday on Saturday.

Then I made a card for my nephew's little one year old.

I made Emma a doll sized quilt and a name plaque for Katie.  I'll post those when I can get outside to take pictures.  It's rainy today :(

Banner for baby

Just finished making this banner for a friend's new baby girl. Sloane. The papers and embellishments are from Pebbles  line called "new arrival," and the pennants were cut out on my Cuttlebug using the dies from The Cat's Pajamas.
 

Joining another swap

I'm obsessed with swaps these days.  I've joined an Easter tag swap over at Sandy's at 521lakestreet.  Still time to sign up.

Fabric Swap

Here is the 5x7 fabric collage that I made for A Swap for All Seasons for my partner Heidi.  My camera is acting up, so I had to scan it.  The little design on the left is a heart with a thimble, needle, and thread card embroidered on it. A fun project; can't wait to make some more.

I did this "quiltie" (a 5x5 inch quilt patch) for a swap about 2 years ago. I'm not sure about the theme, but I certainly enjoyed using bright colors.

Banner for Previous Swap

This is a banner I made for a swap a couple years ago.  Now I hope to join a new swap at aswapforallseasons.  I love combining fabric, paper and embellishments.
I hope to pick up where I left off last September and add to this blog on a regular basis. I had a great holiday season until a bug had me down for a week.  Now I am attempting to put away Christmas crafts (many unfinished projects), clean the craft room, and start fresh.  I want to learn to use my Silhouette, make a few birthday cards, and start Valentines early.
My word for the year is "COMPLETE."  I want to complete what I have started and work on a complete  mind-body improvement.  Two different meanings for the same word - one meaning finish, the other meaning
total - but I will try to work on both.  For now, I will complete and post this message.  Happy 2011!
